Can you tell us about your journey at BDSmktg, when/where did you start? Positions you have been part of?
My journey at BDSmktg started in Fall 2016 right after I graduated from college. My first position was an admin assistant for six months. During that time, I learned a lot about BDS as well as the client service industry and took a liking to the type of work I was doing. I applied for a Results Coordinator position in Spring 2017 to become a full time BDSer, and since then I’ve been working on a huge client program every day.
Tell us about your current role/responsibilities. What is your title?
Currently, I am a Senior Results Specialist on a Client Service team. I manage four brands on the continuity program. This includes having weekly/bi-weekly calls to discuss their program metrics, upcoming/current projects, and ordering/shipping parts needed to maintain functionality levels and handling any day-to-day situations. Our projects typically involve making updates to the displays that are in all client locations. We coordinate shipping materials for our field team to locate and use to update the displays. This also involves working with BDS’ training team to ensure we have adequate instructions for the field team when it comes time to execute the project. Once a project has launched, I then monitor the data as the field team enters it. If any issues arise, I work with the client and field team to fix them and send the client constant updates regarding the status of the project.
What aspect of your career do you enjoy the most?
During my time at BDS, I’ve been able to learn and get experience with many different things I had never heard of before working here. Gaining knowledge of the retail space as well as working with brands are the many things I’ve enjoyed most about my career. Learning how much goes into the process of putting displays on the sales floor in each store and how much it takes to maintain them on a weekly basis has been valuable information to my career. Working with the brands to handle their in-store projects has given me insight into how things work not only on the BDS side, but also on the brand’s side. I think gaining an understanding of all of this has given me information that will be helpful when I decide what I want to do in the future with my career within this space.
